Finding the right electrician for your project shouldn't require clicking through dozens of screens or piecing together incomplete information. We built Buildforce to make electrical staffing straightforward and effective. The interview process isn’t going anywhere, but sometimes it can only get you so far. Contractors need to have certainty that they know how someone actually performs on the job. Today we're launching a redesigned applicant view that gives contractors everything they need to make fast, confident hiring decisions.
Electrical contractors already love working with our application view because it’s minimal, only showing what’s needed to effectively send out job offers to qualified electricians. Now, we've polished it even further, adding new features so you can see detailed skills data and work history for every applicant. Here’s what’s new:

Cleaner Applicant Lists — A redesigned application list and applicant details view. The new design allows for the display of more data points without becoming overwhelming. The list view now shows skills matched and work history directly in the feed. When an electrician's top tracked skill aligns with your job requirements, you'll see "Top [Skill] match" before you even click into their profile.

Skills Tracking — Electricians on Buildforce jobs are tracking every major electrical skill they perform on a shift. See the top 3 skills from every Buildforce job an electrician completes, with hour counts for each. See which electrician best matches your project based on their skills history. We also show project details from that employment, including Vertical and Building Type(s).

Interview Notes — For electricians new to Buildforce, interview notes and their last 3 employers now appear directly in the applicant view. For electricians with Buildforce experience, their performance data takes priority.
You can enjoy these new features while staying in control of your hiring process. Each profile gives you complete information in one view, so you can make decisions faster without sacrificing quality.
Accurate time tracking starts with electricians clocking in from the actual job site.

Home clock-in prevention — Electricians can no longer clock in from home. When someone attempts to clock in near their home address, they'll see a message asking them to wait until they're on site or create an absence. A small improvement to keep time tracking accurate.
