Introducing Project Specific Notifications For Better Workforce Management

Managing multiple construction projects just got cleaner. We've launched project-specific notifications to cut through the noise and show you only what matters, plus Project Map for a visual view of your electrical contracting operations.

Why Smarter Notifications Matter Now

Electrical contractors have told us the same thing: too many irrelevant notifications make it hard to focus on what actually needs attention. Before this update, everyone on your team got alerts about every project, whether they were involved or not. A single worker absence could trigger emails to your entire organization.

Now you only hear about the projects you're actually managing.

What's New with Notifications

Project-specific subscriptions mean you only get alerts for projects you're involved with. We've automatically subscribed you to projects based on your previous interactions, and you can customize from there.

Notification type controls let you choose what kinds of alerts you want to receive:

  • Recruiting updates - new applications, candidate matches
  • Time approval reminders - weekly time review notifications
  • Attendance alerts - worker absences, late arrivals, transfers

Instead of sending three emails to everyone about a worker absence, we now send one email to the project manager who actually needs to know.

Also new: Project Map for Visual Operations

Your contractor portal now includes an interactive map view that shows you exactly where your projects and workers are located at a glance.

See everything at once:

  • All projects displayed as blue markers across the map with project names clearly labeled
  • Track worker locations with individual pins showing who's clocked in at each site
  • Spot coverage gaps and identify workers who may be far from their assigned sites

Benefits for Electrical Contractors

For notifications:

  • Reduce inbox clutter by only receiving relevant project alerts
  • Focus on what matters with customizable notification types
  • Improve response times when alerts are actually for your projects
  • Better team coordination with the right people getting the right information

For Project Map:

  • See your entire operation with all projects and workers on one interactive map
  • Make faster staffing decisions by seeing real-time worker locations and project distribution
  • Plan more efficiently using geographic context for route planning and resource allocation

How It Works

For notifications:

  1. Check your subscriptions - we've automatically subscribed you to relevant projects
  2. Customize notification types - choose recruiting, attendance, and time approval alerts
  3. Manage subscriptions - add or remove yourself from specific projects as needed

For Project Map:

  1. Access your projects - go to your contractor portal's familiar project list
  2. Switch to map view - click the map button to see your geographic layout
  3. Monitor in real-time - view worker locations and project status at a glance

Real-World Impact

These updates work together to reduce noise and increase clarity. Smart notifications mean you spend less time sorting through irrelevant alerts and more time managing what actually needs your attention. Project Map gives you the visual context to make faster decisions about workforce deployment.

The electrical trade keeps evolving, and managing information flow has become just as important as managing crews. Contractors who can cut through the noise and see the big picture have a real advantage.

Both features are live in your contractor portal right now.
