At what height do electricians need fall protection?

On construction sites, OSHA 1926.501 requires fall protection at 6 feet or more above a lower level, including unprotected edges, holes and skylights. General industry work under 1910.28 uses 4 feet. Scissor lifts follow the scaffold rule, which requires fall protection more than 10 feet up, and workers in boom lifts tie off to the boom or basket.
