Do you need a license to be an electrician in Arizona?

No. Arizona has no state journeyman or master electrician license. The Arizona Registrar of Contractors licenses electrical contracting businesses, and an electrician who works for wages under a licensed contractor doesn't need a personal license under A.R.S. 32-1121. You need your own ROC license only to contract for electrical work yourself.
