Yes, if your training was on a different type of truck. OSHA classifies telehandlers as Class VII rough terrain forklifts, and a 1999 OSHA letter says a sit-down rider truck and a rough terrain forklift are different types. Operators have to be trained and evaluated on each type of truck they're assigned to drive.
