How do you get an electrical contractor license in Arizona?

Apply to the Arizona Registrar of Contractors for a C-11 (commercial), R-11 (residential) or CR-11 (dual) electrical license. The qualifying party needs at least 4 years of hands-on or managerial experience and has to pass the Statutes and Rules Exam and a trade exam. The license is issued to the business, not to the individual electrician.
