How long does forklift certification last?

OSHA requires an evaluation of each forklift operator at least once every three years, which is why most cards say they're valid for three years. Refresher training and a new evaluation come sooner after unsafe driving, an accident or near miss, a failed evaluation, a change to a different type of truck or a change at the site that affects safe operation.
