NFPA 70E calls for retraining in electrical safety work practices at intervals of no more than 3 years. You need it sooner if inspections show unsafe practices, new equipment or procedures come in, your duties change, or you do a task less than once a year. OSHA's 1910.269 rule treats tasks done less than once a year as needing retraining before the work.
