Is CPR certification required for electricians?

OSHA doesn't require every electrician to hold a CPR card. It requires employers to have first aid help available, and on construction sites without a nearby clinic or hospital, 29 CFR 1926.50(c) calls for a person with a valid first aid certificate at the worksite. On power line and substation work, 1910.269 requires trained persons, and its first aid training includes CPR.
