Is online fall protection training enough for OSHA?

Not by itself. In a 2019 letter of interpretation, OSHA said online training alone doesn't meet its training requirements. The training has to include interactive and hands-on parts, with timely access to a qualified trainer. An online course works for the classroom side, and the employer still covers hands-on practice with harnesses and other gear.
