What does an industrial electrician do?

An industrial electrician installs, maintains and repairs the electrical systems in factories, refineries, chemical plants and other industrial sites. That includes three-phase power distribution, motors and motor controls, variable frequency drives, PLCs and instrumentation. Most of the job is preventive maintenance and fast troubleshooting to keep production lines running.
