Which NEC edition is the Florida journeyman exam based on?

It depends on the county. Hillsborough, Orange, Polk and Palm Beach counties test on the 2020 NEC, the edition the Florida Building Code, 8th Edition (2023), adopts. Broward tests on the 2023 NEC, which the 9th Edition (2026) Florida Building Code adopts statewide on December 31, 2026. Check your county's Prov bulletin before you buy and tab your book.
